St Lucy’s has been generously donated 25 kilowatt solar system from Red Energy

Swimming lessons are a whole lot better for the children of St Lucy’s after the installation of a brand new solar and lithiumion battery system. The students will now enjoy their lessons in warm water all year round. During term 3 and term 4, Red Energy donated and installed 95 x JA Solar 265W polycrystalline panels on the gymnasium roof and a Panasonic lithium-ion 8kWh battery.

The installation will generate enough energy to run the pool pump and heating system all year round. St Lucy’s is the first school in NSW to embrace solar and battery storage. We plan to use the money we save annually on electricity to invest in our literacy program. We are extremely grateful to Red Energy for their generous philanthropic support.

NSW State Government Community Building Partnership

St Lucy’s would like to thank the NSW State Government Community Building Partnership for our new classroom acoustic panels. These brand new panels reduce noise, reverberation and help to provide the best quality learning environment for our students. We welcomed Mr Alister Henskens SC MP – Member for Ku-ring-gai to assembly for the reveal of our new and improved classroom acoustics. The St Lucy’s community thank the State Government for your continued support.
