• Number and vocabulary underpin all aspects of Mathematics’ learning at St Lucy’s
  • Mathematics is taught primarily through hands-on learning which is based in real life contexts. Students ability to use and practise their learning is supported by repetition and focused teaching to a range of applications e.g money, cooking, reading bus and street numbers.
  • Classroom learning in Mathematics is supported by our Mathematics with Meaning Program  and the Canteen program
  • Students learning is targeted at the level or Stage at which they are working and through their IEP goals
  • The St Lucy’s Mathematics Curriculum specifies which Syllabus Strands students work on each term. Strands include Working Mathematically, Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability
