St Lucy's School

A community enriched by difference

Corporate Volunteering

As a leading educator for students with disabilities, St Lucy’s School provides opportunities for a number of corporate supporters to visit the school for a day and work on a variety of projects.

Corporate volunteers do not have to have any experience, we work with your team to design a project that is well suited for your employees.

Corporate Volunteering at St Lucy’s School is a great team building experience that will strengthen your team and they will walk away with a better understanding of young people with disabilities.

A typical volunteer day starts at 9.00am and ends at 2pm. A St Lucy’s School staff member will be onsite to lead your team, provide an induction, share valuable information about what St Lucy’s School does, give your team a tour of our facilities, deliver a safety briefing and then set you up for an enjoyable team building day.

At St Lucy’s School, we are deeply grateful for the generous support of our corporate partners, including:

Their contributions through volunteering and fundraising have been instrumental in enhancing the educational experiences of our students and strengthening our community.

St Lucy’s is located on Sydney’s North Shore, an easy walk from Wahroonga station.

We cater for groups of up to 4-12 people.

Some comments from our Corporate Volunteers:

BlackRock:
“We had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer at St Lucy’s last Friday in support of their annual St Dominic’s Day celebrations and it was truly an inspiring experience. The day was incredibly well organised, allowing us to engage with the students. We have a deep respect for the dedication and passion of the teaching staff, who make such a positive impact on the kids’ lives. It was also exiting to see the new high school open which perfectly complements the existing primary school offering. We look forward to supporting St Lucy’s in the future!”

Optus:
“My Optus colleagues and I participated in a highly rewarding Corporate Volunteer Day at St. Lucy’s a couple of weeks ago.

Our day consisted of attending assembly with the students, assisting the amazing teachers and therapists with classroom activities, creating sensory toy bags for ‘story-time’, working on an Art Room project, wrapping prizes for ‘trivia’ night’ and assembling furniture.

We were supported every minute of the day and felt that our time was very well utilised. For anyone looking to take part in a corporate volunteer activity, I would highly recommend spending your time at St. Lucy’s School – it will be one of the most rewarding days for your team!”

Red Energy
“Volunteering at St Lucy’s was a truly wonderful experience. The teachers and staff are so very caring and kind and the students are just beautiful, a couple in particular stole my heart. I can’t wait to come back again.”
